Answer: No, but they will provide a financial benefit to the living spouse or minor child.
Will the Military/Veterans Administration pay for funeral expenses?
Answer: If a person dies at the Veterans Administration Hospital, there is a benefit that the funeral home can apply for.
Can I pre-arrange my funeral or cremation service?
Answer: Yes
Why should I pre-arrange my funeral?
Answer: To alleviate emotional burdens by ensuring your wishes will be included in your funeral. It also lightens the financial burden left on your family by making appropriate arrangements during the pre-planning to ensure that you family does not have to shoulder the financial strain of arranging and paying for your memorial service.
Can I buy a vault or a grave market from you or do I have to buy from the cemetery?
Answer: You can purchase both from Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home.
I've never arranged a funeral before. What do I need to know?
Answer: You would need to know the following items:
- Vital Statistic of Deceased (Name, Age, Date of Birth, Social Security Number)
- Cemetery Preference
- Preferred Type of Service
- Life Insurance Information
- Military/Veterans Information (If Applicable)
What type of funeral services exist?
Answer:
- Body Preparation (Embalming)
- Cremation
- All Types of Religious Memorial Services
- Limousine Service
- Administrative/Processing (ie, death certificates, etc…)
- Life Insurance Verification
- After-Care/ Grief Counseling
- Shipping and Receiving of Remains
What should I do if death occurs in the middle of the night or the weekend?
Answer: Call (414) 358-0538. Staff is available 24hours-7 days a week.
If a loved one dies out of state, can Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home help?
Answer: Yes. We provide full shipping and receiving, of remains, world-wide.
If I've decided on cremation, can there still be a funeral or viewing?
Answer: Yes. You can still have a service (with a viewing) and cremation following the service or have a simple memorial service.
What Government agencies in Wisconsin can help defray final expenses?
Answer: Milwaukee County provides limited assistance if deceased qualifies under Title 19.
Where can funeral services be held?
Answer: Services can be held in one of our newly re-modeled chapels or the church/synagogue/temple/mosque of your choice. |
